Basically just repeating what she’s written? Eh if you’ve read one of her articles, you’re pretty much read them all.

I think if you listen you'd be surprised.

Driving around NYC was some of the most fun I have had in a car. It’s just this free for all. As long as you don’t block the box you can basically get away with whatever you want.

Not even giving her the chance considering her disregard for practicalities such as population density.

This is what I like about long form interviews though. We talk about these challenges, how you can't really expect the world to change over night and all that. I respect your choice not to listen. But if you only listen / read things you agree with, your missing half of the conversation

I haven’t tuned in yet, but honestly, I will listen to this one and I want to give you a lot of credit for having Alissa present her side. Allowing for the viewpoints of others is a hallmark of an open mind. Well done.

You have a very NPR type of voice. Really, a very NPR presentation as a whole.

Alyssa sounded exactly as I had visualized. A lot of Uh, Uhm, Mmm, Um moments there.

I’m only a quarter through it so NO SPOILERS guys!

Listened to the whole podcast, pretty good but really just rehashed everything she’s said before.

Her ideas are great so long as you live in a rich 1st world country, not so much everywhere else...

an enjoyable discussion, good questions and good answers.

I certainly don’t disagree with Alissa. A city well designed for bikes would be my preference. I’d ride everyday if I could, and leave the car for fun times.

I think the core of what she wants is what we all want, we want an infrastructure that allows for multi-model transport. Because it allows less congestion, which makes driving more enjoyable and allows for better living

Absolutely meant as a compliment!

I’m going to start over later at home.

Basic geography is the other top factor along with economic prosperity.

Works wonderfully in small, dense, tightly urbanized countries.

Most of North America is not that.

Exactly, I could ride my bike to work from my house, but the road is 55mph, has no shoulder or ditches. I would be dead. It’s a farm road, was designed for tractors, not my bike. I can fight that, or move into town.
